Note on Materials: Dimensions are (nominally, not exact) 12" x 12" x 20" H. Cracks are part of the rustic beauty of these pieces. If the finish cracks or chips, you may see some raw wood underneath. You may notice differences from piece to piece or to images on the website or between samples received. There is no stain, so the color may vary. This is a quality of natural wood. The knots and cracks that you may see are an organic aspect of the wood. We view these elements not as flaws, but as reminders of the tree from which each piece is born. Natural materials will age over time and with exposure to the elements—the more exposure, the quicker they will age. Expansion and contraction due to temperature variability may occur. They will age with integrity when cared for appropriately.
Wood Care: Beech wood is not generally recommended for outdoor use without regular maintenance, protection and care. If outside, the finish should be scuffed and reapplied as needed, approximately yearly, for best results. Bare wood will grey faster than finished wood. See our FAQs
