Walnut Wood Knife Beam Bench | Reclaimed Solid Wood Bench

Regular price$1,750.00
/

This dark walnut wood bench is made from reclaimed urban wood. Primitive beauty with an urban touch. The solid wood bench utilizes salvaged walnut wood logs for a rustic bench feel. Narrow and backless, the simple lines express the natural texture of the end grain of each species.

Walnut is more common in North Alabama, but walnut trees inhabit the urban forest in the City of Birmingham, AL and it's surrounding areas.

The 12" x 12" beam is milled and finished to sit raised by a mild steel base with a black patina. The walnut beam bench can be fabricated to order, in a variety of lengths.

Pair it with the Hyo Table in Walnut and check out all our beam benches.

A low sheen, clear urethane finish adds an extra layer of protection. These pair well with other items from our beam bench collectionThese pieces are HEAVY.

ADA depth is an option. Please review Additional and Shipping Information below.

Dimensions: 12" W x 17" H - Length Varies

With the oiled finish used on the knife base and walnut wood, we do not recommend putting this bench outside, exposed to the elements.

Note on Materials: Cracks are part of the rustic beauty of these pieces. If the finish cracks or chips, you may see some raw walnut underneath. You may notice differences from piece to piece or to images on the website or between samples received. There is no stain, so the color may vary. This is a quality of natural wood. The knots and fine cracks that you may see will not cause structural deficiencies as they are an organic aspect of the wood. We view these elements not as flaws, but as reminders of the tree from which each piece is born. Natural materials will age over time and with exposure to the elements—the more exposure, the quicker they will age. Expansion and contraction due to temperature variability may occur. They will age with integrity when cared for appropriately.
