Buying Furniture from Alabama Sawyer - The Process - Step by Step

The buying and shipping process varies depending on the item and whether the item you purchase is in stock, bespoke specifications of our products or custom design/build.

In Stock Home Accessories and Furniture

In stock items are shipped according to size and volume. Whether the order is made off the website or through inside sales, payment is made in full prior to shipping.

Made to Order Furniture

  1. Alabama Sawyer generates a quote based on customer dimensions and any visual references provided, preferably Alabama Sawyer products. The quote includes pricing for the item as described, with applicable tear sheets or a loose sketch, depending on the request. An estimate on shipping can be provided if details allow.
  2. Quote is accepted
  3. Customer pays a 50% deposit
  4. Alabama Sawyer creates a 3D model and shop drawing, and provides wood samples if needed
  5. Customer approves the shop drawing (and sample or other parameters noted in the quote)
  6. Lead time starts after deposit is paid and drawings are approved. Special material orders, larger orders or changing conditions in the shop can affect this lead time.
  7. Fabrication
  8. Shipping quote updated with details of shipment.
  9. Customer pays balance in full
  10. Shipping can take a day via UPS or three weeks vis a door to door carrier.
