Team Lunch at Magnolia Point

The team at Alabama Sawyer recently had the opportunity to enjoy a team lunch at the beautiful Magnolia Point restaurant. It was a great chance for us to see our work in situ and appreciate the delicious "fish camp" style food in a stunning setting.

Locally Salvaged Ash Tables

One of the highlights of the lunch was getting to see our locally salvaged ash tables in action. The tables not only added a touch of rustic charm to the space but also showcased the beauty of sustainable, locally sourced materials.

Banquette Seating

Our banquette seating, with functional and cheeky materials, added a fun and inviting element to the restaurant.

Live Edge Magnolia Bar

The live edge magnolia bar was a true showstopper at the restaurant. Its unique design and natural beauty added a touch of elegance to the space, making it a focal point for guests to gather around and enjoy their drinks. Fun fact, the wood came from the University of Alabama campus, as part of our partnership with the campus.

Adaptive Reuse and Local Collaboration

Our team lunch at Magnolia Point was a perfect example of adaptive reuse and the power of collaboration with local tradespeople and resources. By repurposing salvaged materials and working closely with the design team from Pihakis Restaurant Group and Williams Blackstock, we were able to create a space that not only looked beautiful but also had a positive impact on the environment and the community.

Overall, the team lunch at Magnolia Point was a wonderful experience for the team at Alabama Sawyer. It was a great opportunity to see our work come to life in a real-world setting and to enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by our creations. We look forward to more opportunities to collaborate with local businesses and continue our mission of sustainable design and local craftsmanship.
