WeTHRIVE, a Virtual Executive Development Program for Women-Owned Businesses

Leigh Spencer of Alabama Sawyer has been selected by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to join a national cohort of women-owned businesses in the WeTHRIVE program.  WBENC is the nation’s largest certifier of women-owned businesses and a leading advocate for women business owners.

WeTHRIVE is a virtual executive development program tailored to help Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) survive the uncertainty of today and grow and thrive for the future.

“WBENC is committed to helping women-owned businesses not only survive through the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic challenges, but also grow and thrive well into the future,” says Pamela Prince-Eason, WBENC President & CEO. “Our WeTHRIVE program does just that, meeting women leaders where they are and helping them position their companies for future success in a truly interactive and innovative virtual delivery model.”

WBENC launched WeTHRIVE in the summer of 2020 to support WBEs through the uncertainty and unprecedented economic challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The feedback from the first 2 cohorts and nearly 400+ WBEs who have participated has been so overwhelmingly positive, we are excited to host WeTHRIVE Summer 2021 July 27 through September 23, 2021.

All participants are assigned one of three course tracks (Survive, Grow, or Thrive) based on a personal and business assessment completed during the application process. The program offers virtual live learning sessions across five disciplines, including Leadership & Communications, Financial Management, Business Strategy, Operations & Human Resources, and Marketing & Sales, as well as interactive and engaging peer groups discussions.
