Alabama Sawyer’s Not So Secret Diary
PLEASE NOTE: The following info is pulled from an article found on The Strategist entitled, “The Best Natural Dish Soaps on Amazon, According to Hyperenthusiastic Reviewers”.
Before we start listing products, I’d like you to think about why using eco friendly dish detergent is important. Consider where that soapy water goes after it goes down the drain. That’s right, it usually goes to the ocean, so be sure to buy dish detergents that will be friendly and kind to aquatic life.
Think of all of the bragging you could do if you use eco friendly dish soaps! “That’s right Karen, using eco friendly dish detergent saved 3.5 dolphins AND lead to my promotion. Switching to eco friendly dish detergent changed my life for the better.” I’m kidding, obviously. Without further ado, here are the products:
Seventh Generation Dish Liquid Soap can be found on Amazon for 20 dollars for 14 fluid ounces. This product is hypoallergenic and plant based, with no animal testing involved or animal based ingredients. Another plus is the way in which this product manages to avoid using fragrances and phosphates (both of which aren’t the most eco friendly options when it comes to dish soaps.)
A slightly cheaper option would be the Puracy Natural Dish soap that sells for 5 dollars per .3 ounces. Like the prior choice, Puracy Natural Dish soap is phosphate free and made entirely with plant based ingredients. Unlike the prior choice however, Puracy is scented. That said, the overwhelming majority of reviews sing the praises of this product, so be sure to check it out if you’re looking for something like this.
And finally, we have the Mrs. Myers liquid dish soap that comes in packs of 3 and sells for $11.37. Like the other two list items, this liquid dish soap uses plant based ingredients. Additionally, it’s cruelty free, which is always a big plus.
There are plenty of other eco friendly dish soaps out there. Do you have a preferred eco friendly dish soap? Why or why not?
